Supermum Pinky delivers 11 furry bundles

The big litters have continued at Seeing Eye Dogs with the arrival of Pinky’s litter, who delivered 11 new pups by caesarean last night. 

The litter consists of 5 yellow females and 6 yellow males, and they were sired by Golden Retriever ‘Enzo’ (pictured at the bottom). 

Our puppy centre opened in 2014, and since then, many litters have been born. Like a maternity hospital, the mum and her pups receive around-the-clock care in the days before birth, and the days following by our puppy attendants. We also have a resident vet who is on-hand to ensure the best health, and care, for our dogs. 

These little guys will need puppy carers from around eight weeks of age, before starting formal training towards becoming a Seeing Eye Dog. As a puppy carer, you will train your dog to toilet, socialisation skills, they may go to work with you every day to get used to the office environment, and travel on public transport. We hold training days, and you will be overseen by a puppy trainer.
