Thank you to everyone who joined us at this year's Seeing Eye Dogs Open Day on Saturday 5 March.
It was a jam packed day where attendees learnt about the important Seeing Eye Dogs service, enjoyed many activities and were able to explore the extensive facilities, including the rehabilitation therapy pool, breeding centre, public viewing platform to the kennels and puppy play centre. Victorian Treasurer Tim Pallas joined the Open Day, announcing a grant from the State Government for development of an Indoor Mobility and Safety Training Centre at the SED centre.
This family-friendly day was both fun and educational. People watched as Instructors demonstrated an obstacle course with a Seeing Eye Dog and were able to gain a better understanding of how SED helps to transform the lives of people who are blind or have low vision.
